Have you been planning to buy your own domain name and host your own site? If yes, please do some researches first. There are many companies to choose from and everything is just right at your fingertips. I had the mistake of just jumping in without asking anyone only to realize that the one I got was good for nothing. Outages were so frequent my sites had more downtimes than up. And when I called support, there was none, despite claims that they have a customer great support. While web hosting does not require a lot of computer knowledge, thanks to the advancement in technology, it is still advisable to know the benefits at least the basics so you’ll have an idea of what you are getting into.
Don’t get very excited and do your purchase immediately on the first company you find. Do your homework first, read about web hosting articles and guides and compare the top web hosting sites. Reviews are important too. This will let you know if the company is dependable and reliable. Hosting your own site gives you a lot of benefits and an edge over other competitors especially if you are marketing your products, and I am sure, you don’t want to be getting the services of a “so-so” company, so choose wisely.
