In times of emergency
I’m sure by now you’ve already heard about what happened to most of us after several typhoons ravaged my country. What makes me sad is that our government was not ready for these calamities. They released water from several dams all at the same time without warnings. They could have sounded the emergency alert system early on to give people time to evacuate. There were so much damage and many lives were lost. Every year, we are visited by more than 20 typhoons so we are quite used to the flooding, but what happened last month was really unexpected. Haay, when will they ever learn?
